Petrography and Geochemistry of the Intrusive Rocks at the Diorite-Hosted Regnault Au Mineralization

Archean greenstone belts are renowned for their Au endowment. Gold can be associated with orogenic style of mineralization and diorite-hosted Au-Cu disseminated sulfides interpreted as a porphyry mineralization. The Regnault project, located in the Frotet–Evans belt (Superior craton), is structurally-controlled an unclear metallogenic model. aim this study to evaluate fertility granodiorite-diorite-gabbro intrusive. Using whole-rock chemistry petrological observations, it concluded that intrusive suite derives from differentiated water-bearing magma extracted metasomatized mantle. Amphibole indicates was moderately oxidized emplaced at shallow depth. It displays several characteristics favorable exsolution magmatic fluids upper crust potentially corresponds to, least part, magmatic-hydrothermal system.
